Latin American Caribbean Scholarship Graduate Studies Program

The Latin American Caribbean Scholarship is awarded to international students from designated Latin American and Caribbean countries that would then allow FGCU to classify these recipients as residents for tuition and fee purposes; in accordance with section 1009.21 (10)(e) Florida Statutes.

Scholarship Criteria

Awards will be based on merit or special talent (artistic, athletic, or professional)
Students must be admitted to FGCU as a graduate degree seeking student
Student must maintain full-time enrollment status (9 credits per semester, Fall and Spring), as defined by US immigration regulations
Students who are enrolled as distance learning only are not eligible for this program
Students must be approved to study in the United States with an F-1 visa
The student must be a citizen or legal resident of one of the approved Latin American & Caribbean countries as listed in the scholarship description
Students must satisfy one of the following: GPA of at least 3.0 or equivalent, or minimum entrance exam score as required by graduate program for admission, or demonstrated special talent (artistic, athletic, or professional)
