Formstack for Requesting Graduate Assistantships
This form should be completed by the staff/faculty member submitting the request. For campus employment to be considered a Graduate Assistantship, the following criteria must be met:
• The student must be admitted to a qualified graduate degree program
• The minimum stipend for graduate assistantship duties is the state mandated minimum wage.
• Full time graduate students may be employed for a maximum 0.50 FTE (20 hours per week)
• Part time graduate students may be employed for a max 0.25 FTE (10 hours per week)
• Tuition waivers applied in addition to the assistantship may not exceed the number of credit hours the student is enrolled.
• The Graduate Assistantship must be approved by the student’s graduate program coordinator and the Director of Graduate Studies or their designee.
• Graduate Students in Accelerated Programs (AP) are not eligible for Graduate Assistantships.
